wet land
sodden land
rain kneading
the night-time

the gravel of rain on the window
a blanket of cloud on the nation

wet land
of torchlight
land of acreage
and faction fights
a dead fox
in the ditch
and a spent cartridge

rain in the wet hills
thirst on the vixen's tongue
