Furze
Denis Collins
We are golden,
almond scented
and golden,
hard green
and wild
yellow gold.We cover
hills and fields
and advance,
always advance,
repossessing
the land.We are
green thorn
and flower gold,
hill-blown,
sharpest yellow
and deep green.
