SOFT TOUCH

Catherine O'Mahony

I overthrew my shoulders
and looked to the roll call
of showing roads.

I was hands down in rain:
spinning undressed rain
that pinned up into
 queuing skies.

On the way I
handrinsed songs;

 tumbled them out cold
       and grey, tasted them

off my hands and shoulders.

Catherine O'Mahony was born in 1978. She lives iin South County Dublin.  Writing is her marriage and poetry is her sweetheart.
